South Jersey, are you ready for some Halloween fun?! Here are South Jersey Family, we are celebrating all month with various South Jersey Events & Activities, but let’s take a minute to highlight one of our most anticipated nights of the Halloween season: the Halloween Hootenanny at the Garden State Discovery Museum. It’s going to be so much fun!

I’ve set up at the Halloween Hootenanny for the past 2 years, but this is the second year South Jersey Family is sponsoring it (you may remember us attending under our old name: Caffeine & Fist Bumps). It’s going to be on Friday, October 25 from 6pm-8pm this year. We’ll be filling up the entire front parking lot of the Garden State Discovery Museum with decorated trunks from the vehicles of local families and businesses – that should be about 40 trunks!! So. Many. Treats! Some trunks will have candy, some trunks will have non-food treats (South Jersey family will be participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project), so all kids are sure to go home with plenty of treats. Some trunks will be cute, some will be funny, some might be a little scary (although, all trunks setting up know this is an event for children, so it won’t be TOO scary).

In addition to trunk or treating outside, there will be various stations set up inside the Garden State Discovery Museum for kids to trick or treat from! There will also be a costume contest and opportunities to experience some spooky science! Kid Fit NJ is sponsoring a bounce house and there will be crafts for kids, too! Lots of fun, right?

If you would like to bring your kids trunk or treating, tickets can be purchased through this link. If you would like to participate as a trunker, we have a limited number of spots still available, so email us as soon as possible and be sure to include the subject line “SJF Trunker.” It is FREE to participate as a trunker and there are *special*perks*. This is a great opportunity to allow your family to be involved with a family-friendly community event and is a great chance for local businesses to get the word out and potentially build their customer base.

Wondering how you could decorate your vehicle for a trunk or treat event? Don’t worry, we got you! We’ve compiled 20+ Creative Ways to Decorate for Trunk or Treat! to help you with that! Still confused about what exactly a trunk or treat event is? Again, we got you. Check out Trunk-or-Treat?! What’s that?? for more information!

Thank you to the Garden State Discovery Museum for allowing South Jersey Family to be a sponsor for the Halloween Hootenanny!! South Jersey – we can’t wait to see you there!
