Many South Jersey aquariums even offer the opportunity to view exciting shows and get up close and personal with sea creatures by feeding and touching them! Check your calendars, consider bringing a few friends, and plan a trip to a South Jersey Aquarium with the South Jersey Family guide to Aquariums!
Adventure Aquarium, Camden, NJ
One of our favorites, Adventure Aquarium is located right by the Delaware River Camden Waterfront. It is home to the largest collection of sharks on the east coast and even has a Shark Bridge to walk over after going through a shark-tunnel that gives a fish-eye view of the depths of the ocean. Throughout the aquarium, Adventure Aquarium offers many opportunities to pet and feed sea life including sharks, sting rays, sea stars, and anemones. See hippos, blue penguins, turtles, and over 15,000 varieties of aquatic species throughout their 2 million gallons of water. The entire family can enjoy a meal or snack at the newly refurbished Marketplace and adults can enjoy the Flying Fish Beer Garden open seasonally.

Atlantic City Aquarium
Located on the Atlantic City Waterfront, the Atlantic City Aquarium offers a great opportunity to experience sea life right by the ocean! Open year-round from 10am-5pm, see stingrays, sharks, a variety of bony fish, reptiles & amphibians, crabs, and more. You’ll have the opportunity to feed stingrays and can participate in 20 minute presentations showcasing a variety of animals such as corn snakes and tarantulas. Parking is included and, while the aquarium does not offer dining, the nearby Historic Garden Basin area has gorgeous views, a crafters village, and waterfront dining.
